![]() The Hawaiian Islands have a history rich in mythology and folklore. Sightings of ghostly images and haunting activities have been reported deep in many valleys, forests, on isolated beaches, in lava fields, at sacred burial sites, ancient temples known as heiaus, and even in older buildings and high rises in urban areas. Tales of these events are intriguing yet dark, mysterious, supernatural and always fascinating. Hear storytellers speak of the legends and myths of our island like the feared Night Marchers, the industrious and helpful Menehune (the little people) and much more. Ride leaders will take you, if you dare, to several of these sacred sites, haunted landmarks and places of sacrifice to the gods and goddesses of Old Hawaii. ALOHA and welcome to Oahu, known as the “Heart of Hawaii”, the most diverse of all the Hawaiian Islands because of its endless attractions and many landmarks. This year Oahu will be home of the 2008 Hawaii State H.O.G. Rally. We invite you to join our ohana (family) for a special weekend of adventure, mystery and fun as we discover our island’s rich folklore history. |
